- Require detection independent of antibody response
- Have inconclusive or negative results from traditional serology
Clinical Utility
Provides direct detection of Borrelia OspA antigen from urine, enabling earlier diagnosis in acute cases and confirms presence of pathogen infection in patients with a history of Lyme disease, even when the immune response is absent or suppressed.
